Henry Asencio exhibition - Reflection comes to Mayfair
Posted 17/02/2011
Henry Asencio will be flying in from California to attend a private view of his new collection of oil paintings at Clarendon Fine Art. The exhibition will be open to the public with works going on sale from 4th March.
Avant-garde in execution, Asencio’s new collection blends the classical ideals of figurative painting with a unique, contemporary style. Merging introspection and visual spectacle, his personal investigations of femininity, spirituality and abstraction possess the power to transform today’s ideals of elegance and contemporary sensuality.
Described by critics as “Abstract Expressionism” Asencio’s work cannot be pigeonholed by style or semantics. His open brushwork, sweeping color, use of texture and precise drawing skills have resulted in a body of work that has earned him many international accolades. He has been named as ‘Today’s Top Artist’ by the USA association of Art Business News Major Shows for an astonishing four years in a row from 2007 to 2010.
Clarendon Fine Art is delighted to be hosting this important exhibition from a major presence in the art world. Please contact the gallery for more details.
