We are delighted to announce that a new exhibition of Original Paintings from John Lowrie Morrison OBE will open here in the gallery this February. The artist will be attending a Private View on Thursday 23rd February from 6.30 to 9.30 with works on sale from Thursday 23rd February to Thursday 1st March. John is a towering figure in contemporary British art and one of the most eminent landscape artists in Europe. He is also internationally acknowledged as a master of execution and represents a formidable presence on the international art scene. The exhibition is characterised by exhilarating displays of vibrant colours, technical spontaneity and sheer creative energy, which illuminate the entire canvas and summon the intensity of the unique light of Western Scotland.
