Clarendon welcomes official olympic artist   L.A. based artist Fabian Perez is flying in to the UK to make a rare personal appearance at Clarendon Fine Art in Mayfair this November. The official artist to the 2012 London Olympics will be unveiling a powerful new collection of original paintings at a private view, and the exhibition will be open to the public with works going on sale from November 3rd to November 19th.   Fabian’s dramatic oils on canvas are atmospheric portrayals of life after dark in Buenos Aires, the city of his birth. At home in Argentina he is revered, with prestigious public commissions and exhibitions of his work funded by the government, while his international status has been highlighted by appointments as official artist to the Latin Grammys as well as by his Olympic appointment. He has lived in Los Angeles since 2001, exhibiting his paintings to outstanding critical acclaim.   Clarendon Gallery’s Rachel Simkiss commented: “This important exhibition represents one of the largest and most diverse collections of Fabian’s paintings ever to be shown in this country. It offers collectors a unique opportunity to acquire both new works and a small number of pieces from the artist’s personal portfolio, at a time when his work is in huge demand.”
