‘Hear Nothing, See Nothing, Say Nothing’, the new framed limited edition from contemporary fine artist Dom Pattinson, is a modern take on the Japanese three wise monkeys’ proverbial ‘see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil'. The three chimpanzees in this image wear headphones, rose-tinted glasses and a pandemic era face mask, and are perched on top of brightly coloured beach balls, in what is perhaps a comment on how we may be tempted to turn a blind eye or a deaf ear and fail to speak out about the difficulties and injustice going on in our world today, in order to keep the balance in favour of fun over strife. A colour palette of bright blue, red, yellow and green contrasts nicely against monochrome elements, with highlights of gold adding a luxurious finishing touch. This embellished giclee print on box canvas artwork measures 42 x 32” and has been released in an edition size of 195.
