Released as part of Christian Hook’s ‘Shinme’ (sacred horse) collection, Hikaru is one of three aluminium pieces printed using the innovative process of dye-sublimation. Inspired by Japanese tradition and culture, this equine study incorporates kimono fabric design against a dark black background, with a vibrant swathe of turquoise adding a pop of colour. Released in an edition size of 195 and measuring 16 x 12”, Hikaru completes a striking trio when displayed alongside Kaouru and Saku, but also makes a strong statement as a solo piece, making it a worthy addition to any contemporary fine art collection.
