We are thrilled to welcome contemporary British artist Toby Mulligan to the gallery to open his new solo exhibition of original figurative and abstract drawings and paintings. Toby’s distinctive works are created in a variety of media including charcoal on paper and inks.
Toby believes that his best work comes from making a connection with the person he paints and a painting of one of his daughters is an outstanding example of how this emotion can transform a work into something out of the ordinary. Entitled ‘About Time’, the portrait was nominated for the BP Portrait Award 2012. His work is in collections around the world, including those of celebrity collectors Roger Federer and Mick Jagger.
