Working in a range of media including oils, watercolour, pen and ink, and photography, he addresses themes of uncertainty, climate change, and extreme weather, and often builds a piece around elements such as fire, polluted water, flooding, and storm clouds.
Born in 1985, Child is Irish-American and French-Canadian artist who exhibits across the US and UK. In 2023, he ventured into directing and was featured in the documentary "Rembrandt Lives in New Jersey." He travels extensively, but is based in vibrant Burlington, Vermont, where he operates from his studio and oversees an independent film company.
