Our Story

Since we opened our flagship gallery in the heart of Mayfair, London in 2010, our success has been driven by an eclectic portfolio of artists and genres and a joyful and inclusive attitude towards selling art. Our CEO and founder, Helen Swaby, has become the UK’s foremost ambassador for art in the mainstream and her energy, creativity and passion have established a strong and positive identity for Clarendon, turning every gallery into an engaging and accessible fine art experience. Helen and her team have created an inspirational journey for every individual, from seasoned art collectors to first time visitors.

Specialising in modern and contemporary art, our galleries showcase originals, limited editions and sculpture from a hand-picked international portfolio of big-name artists and emerging talents. We have a particular expertise in 20th century works from artists including Picasso, Miro, Warhol and Hockney, and in cutting edge pop, street and experimental art from Europe and the US as well as more traditional work across genres including landscape, wildlife, cityscape, still life, figurative, society and more.
